The clothing purchased online falls into the category of products that experience the highest return rates, accounting for 25% of all online product returns across all categories. Managing returns represents a critical cost for brands (customer support, logistics, return fees), especially since most brands, including Shilton, absorb these return costs to encourage sales. The lack of clarity in sizing is also a significant roadblock in customers’ decision-making processes, which negatively impacts conversion rates and limits brands’ ability to sell their products.

In response to this issue, Shilton chose Fitle to transform the challenges of sizing into opportunities.

Constraints

Shilton wanted to propose a customized experience to its clients and a sizing recommendation tool accurate and easy to use. The brand wanted also to get rid of the technicalities and deploy the chosen solution as soon as possible.
